Summer began her journey in coaching elite gamers, as a collegiate athlete and gamer. In college, Summer sought to balance out her academics by competing on the Vassar Crew and Rugby teams. When looking to slow things down physically, she continued to exercise her competitive drive by gaming. Games of choice in this era included Call of Duty and raiding in World of Warcraft. After graduating, Summer looked to translate her degree in Psychology to esport. Currently, Summer is the Head of Player Development at Counter Logic Gaming. Here, her overall philosophy is creating an environment that provides players not only with the skills to optimize their performance but with skills that will enhance their feeling of well being far beyond their years as professional esport athletes. To do this focus is put on skills that increase consistency in play by helping players overcome the fear, frustration, and pressure they typically experience in high stakes games. Along these lines, Summer helps players build a lifestyle and systems that can support longterm high performance in practice, competition, and life.
